“Paper from Paper” Workshop

The Botanical Garden, together with environmentalist Ani Khachatryan, propose to breathe new life into used papers within the Yerevan Botanical Garden. The Yerevan Botanical Garden is excited to launch the “Paper from Paper” workshop. Despite living in the 21st century, where the advancement of information technologies has provided numerous avenues for storing and transmitting information, the demand for paper continues to remain high. Each year, schools, universities, and offices amass tons of paper, yet only a small fraction undergoes the recycling process. Ani will instruct participants on breathing new life into paper. In the workshop, everyone will craft their own paper, adding artistic touch with dried leaves and flower petals collected from the garden. Once dried, you’ll leave with your unique handmade paper, perfect for creating original and distinctive postcards, envelops, and letters, enhancing the uniqueness of your gifts. Through the workshop, we’ll breathe new life into papers, acquiring a valuable skill that not only empowers us but also energizes through collective efforts.
Number of participants: 10-15 individuals.
Duration: 2 hour.
