The monograph “Indigenous flora as a source of arid ornamental horticulture in Armenia” was published (Akopian J., Ghukasyan A., Elbakyan A., Martirosyan L.), in which the prospects of using native xerophilic ornamental plants for greening purposes in the arid regions of Armenia were evaluated.
The book presents scientific data on the morphological characteristics, geographical distribution, habitats, flowering periods, application and processing methods of 196 aboriginal ornamental plants belonging to 135 genera and 46 families of the flora of Armenia.
The book was published in English.
The book “Biodiversity of Armenia” was published by Springer publishing house, the editor of which is Dr. of Biological Sciences G. Faybush. In the book, in addition to the most important statistical data on individual groups of living organisms, great attention is paid to the bio-geographical and ecological characteristics of flora, fauna and mycobiota. The sections included in the book are: natural conditions of Armenia, ecosystems of Armenia, flora of Armenia, mycobiota of Armenia, fauna of Armenia, issues of biodiversity conservation, issues of invasive plants and animals.
Co-authors of the book are
